Legian

At our engagement party in late 2004 Stu and Will mentioned they were thinking of going to Bali, and wanted to know if we were interested? Well I guess you can gather from the fact that this post exists that we were. We got some dirt cheap airfares that came with four nights free at a place in Legian. As these package fares were substantially cheaper that air only fares we decided to give our package accommodation a go, and it actually turned out to be really nice.

Most of our time in Legian was spent shopping, eating, drinking and getting ripped off by money changers... The photo above is obviously of the drinking bit.

We each had one of the nice villas on the left.

Will and Georgia really got into the shopping thing, so much so that they need 3 saleswomen per person!

Erin and I took advantage of the free tour that also came with the airfares, getting ourselves some mass marketed 'culture.'

More drinking, but this time sampling some of the local spirit, Arak. It's rather strong so future Arak doses were taken in the form of Arak Attacks, where it is nicely sweetened with lemon and sugar.
